ABOUT TAIOS The Taiwan Association of Input-Output Studies (TAIOS), established in 2016, is a not-for-profit, educational and industrial community dedicated to share input-output research and its applications. TAIOS also serve the professional interests of members working in input-output theory, computable general equilibrium (CGE) analysis, and broadly related fields of applied economics. The vision and mission of TAIOS are stated as follows:
Promote input-output analysis and its applications;
Hold training courses, workshops, seminars, symposiums or conferences related to input-output analysis and its applications;
Publish academic journal;
Assist the government and industrial associations in public policy analysis and consultations;
Promote joint research collaboration with international partners.
TAIOS is currently the only input-output society in Taiwan with over 150 individual members and one institutional member which is Department of Economic Development of National Development Council (NDC), Republic of China. The current president of TAIOS is Professor Tony Shih-Hsun Hsu, National Taiwan University.
In addition to hosting domestic and international conferences, TAIOS also co-hosts international conferences with other organizations. In the 16th International Convention of the East Asian Economic Association, October 27-28, 2018, TAIOS sponsors and organizes two special sessions. Currently, TAIOS is one of the Allied Societies of Western Economic Association International (WEAI) and will sponsors and organizes special sessions in the 15th International Conference, March 21-24, 2019, hosted by Keio University, Tokyo, Japan. Our conferences are lively forums for members to share their research and encourage discussion in an inclusive and constructive environment.
